and we’re really proud of you

its time to come home

some much has occurred these past few days
wed – apyls outing, watch QoS
thurs – slacked lol, filled random forms
fri – went sch for soccer, dinner at prince with dai and zach
sat – went marina barrage (the view rox), went paragon, then went airport for dinner
todae – semi-concept outing…zech invited us to his church at expo

and so much more things to come
but i really want to do something beneficial and special this hols…and my fingers hurt from the guitar
i guess i cant really leave mugging behind as of now

im missing all the times we had in class
the fooling around, the joking, the chionging to canteen, and sleeping thru reading period
the working on homework till late at night
the nonstop mugging for EOYs

and suddenly poof we are in JC

but then again we’re going ECP on tues. So im looking forward to that.

A man was trapped in prison, locked away behind bars of rusted steel. To the outside man he would be considered a convict, guilty of the crime he was accused. To the judge he was guilty, committing the crime presented.

But no one can determine whether he was really guilty or not. The evidence may be faked, witnesses bribed, the defendent disillusioned. It may seem that he was guilty, but many a time there is often more than meets the eye. No one can determine the truth, save one person.

Himself. The only person who knows his deepest emotions, feelings, motives and motivations. He may be accused of many things, things he never committed, things he never even heard of, but what’s important is that he knows, inside, he is innocent. And he fights. Not stopping until he has won. Until he was got the last laugh.

But sadly he had no powers to change the city he lived. Corruption forced him to accept the guilt for crimes he never committed, placed him behind bars, removed from society. It was a cage he could not break out, so instead he played along with the system, writing, thinking, writing. His works spread like wildfire, of how an innocent youth became the scapegoat of corruption.

Governmental policies, riots and demonstrations demanding justice, and he was free. Acquitted for his supposed crimes, he was allowed to leave. Leave the cell that trapped him in, into a larger cage of society. But on his way out he stopped, and looked back. He finally could leave, but suddenly he didnt want to.

That little cage had taught him reselience, perseverance, determination and self-belief. That little cage allowed him a perspective into other people’s plight. That little cage taught him not the give up, and to fight for his beliefs.

And he was just beginning to appreciate the view from the little window he had.

so much has passed, so much to think about, so much to remember

i won’t be talking about my results
pretty much expected, nothing new

last few weeks of school
last few council events, selection camp, batch dinner, arts fest
signalling the end of my road in hsc
its been a tough year, juggling many commitments
with the first 6 months spent mostly on 14slc, then july in apyls and judo
i pretty much starting working after that
somehow i feel i could do so much more
time was the limiting reagent
now i cant change things anymore

council has given me alot of opportunities
virtually unknown as a CIT, my first even was kinda bad (levelday)
nothing major in sec 2, so my first true opportunity
was when i received a call informing i was in 13slc
no words can describe how much i miss 13slc, all the meetings, chairing
i will still remember how concept underwent complete transformation after a certain scolding session
i will still remember chairing consortium meetings in lt2
i will still remember the concept team, the OT

ive changed alot, since sec 1
ive grown, not just in stature, but in experience, in maturity, in skills
if theres one thing council gave me

it gave me an opportunity
an opportunity to show what i can do
an opportunity for me to repay the school
and it has showed me

studies isnt everything

theres much more to life that that
